About NLC

History

The Nursing Leadership Council was formed in 1990 to serve the nursing professionals of Southern California. The organization currently has more than 300 active members.

Mission Statement

To advance the development of effective nursing administration in the health care member organizations of the Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC) by providing a discussion forum for issues relating to nursing administration, especially as they relate to Southern California; by promoting educational programs and activities to strengthen nursing leadership; and by fostering and enhancing the professional image and practice of nursing.

Organization Structure and Development

NLC is divided into 6 areas, including: Inland Empire Area, Los Angeles Area, Northwestern Area, Orange County Area, San Gabriel Valley Area and Santa Barbara/Ventura Area. Each Area is governed by an Area Council.

Three designated persons from each Area council serve as Board representatives.
